In accordance with section 1.5.3 of the Frequency Plan, two authorisations are required for a radio amateur to carry out their activity legally. First, the operator using an amateur station must hold an individual operator certificate. This operator certificate is issued after passing the radio amateur examination.
Secondly, the use of an amateur radio station is also subject to obtaining a licence in accordance with the provisions of the Radiocommunications Regulations. In addition, the holder of a HAREC operator certificate may apply to the Institute for one of the following licences, using the corresponding form:
